François Gautier born in Paris in 1959, is a French journalist and writer, who was for eight years the political correspondent in India and South Asia for " Le Figaro " and worked for Ouest-France, the largest circulation daily (1 million copies) and Marianne, a political magazine. He is currently working as Editor in Chief

and has lived in India for the past 33 years.
Francois, wrote extensively for the “Ferengi’s
Column” in the Indian Express
and the “French Connection”
column in the Pioneer and contributes regularly
to Rediff.
He was awarded the journalism prize (Natchiketa
award of excellence in journalism) in 2003
by the then Prime minister of India Sri
Atal Behari Vajpayee and the Pragna Puraskar
